passion iland beach in mexico?

We visited Passion Island last March. Though they indicate that there is shopping, I would not really call it that. The island is beautiful, but bare, which adds to its appeal. When you walk from the beach to the eating area, you pass thru some make-shift huts, built into the sand. The locals are there selling coconut heads, plates, jewelry...but if you are looking for quality items...this is not the place. The meal they put out is outstanding and do partake in the beach massages. Very good....and professional. The beach is kept extremely clean and the sand both on the beach and in the water is soft to walk on. It is a comfortable place to just relax. When we went in March there was only 25 of us on the entire island. Enjoy....

You will find out everything there is to know about Isla Pasion (Passion Island) by going to the ports threads on Cozumel. It's actually a penninsula not an island. If you Google map Coz on Satellite mode, go up to the north end of the island and zoom in you can see it quite clearly. Here's a link http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

A few shopping huts with native stuff is all they have. But we enjoyed it. Best guacamole on the planet!

We were there in July. 15 of us. Great lunch served. Drinks (including alcohol) are complimentary and a separate cash bar if you want shots or stronger stuff. Massages available. Very nice and CLEAN restrooms. Quiet solitary beach. Small shopping area. Our guide organized Beach Volleyball, Balloon Tosses and other games. We had a hot, sunny day and a lot of fun. The catamaran ride to and from was enjoyable.

They had a photographer taking group shots when you arrived. We purchased the one of the 15 of us because it was very good and reasonably priced.

I would recommend this excursion.
