Miami hotel epic or intercontinental

Intercontinental is a LOVELY property---very "upscale" and the folks are very friendly. It's an easy walk through a small part to Bayside Marketplace (right on the harbor) and you have a view of port from the upper levels of the hotel. We find it very convenient! A cab to port costs about $8 or so.

The Intercontinental is on EasyClickTravel dot com.

For February school vacation, we got a $450.00 room for $179.00, then were upgraded to a suite when we got there.

Definitely try that site to book - the deals are fantastic.

We stay at the Intercontinental when we cruise out of Miami......awesome hotel, port view, right on the water and next door to Bayside Village........

Can't say enough about the awesome staff......

No, only certain sides have a port view. The Intercontinental is wonderful. Spacious rooms, beautiful lobby, roof garden with a walking path and pool - I would stay there again any time!

Don't confuse the Intercontinental with the Continental Bayside - two VERY different places. :p The Continental Bayside consistently makes all sorts of worst hotel and dirtiest hotel lists - reading reviews of it is almost comical if you didn't feel so bad for the poor people that got stuck there.

Has anyone stayed at either of these? The price is about the same so I'm trying to decide which one.

Have never stayed at the Epic but have stayed at the Intercontinental and will be doing so again in February. Very nice hotel and handy to everything. If you can get a decent price, you can't go wrong.
