les221b Posted October 16, 2009 #26 Share Posted October 16, 2009 This is in response to two prior messages >I think what this really is is a rationing system to be sure guests >who pay more for their cabins get first choice of resos in advance >of others who paid less. They never did that in the lines on >embark day ... People in premium cabins are allowed to embark earlier in the day than those in the cheaper cabins. I believe the times were 11 AM versus 3 PM. So those in the premium cabins had the ability to reserve earlier. >Even though suite and concierge get first dibs, there should be >plenty of premium reservation dates and times available 45 days >out. My cruise hit the 45-day mark about a week ago. At that time reservations for the first 10 days (of a 25-day cruise) were unavailable. The remaining 15 days were open. Oceanurse Posted October 16, 2009 #27 Share Posted October 16, 2009 To those that got an "error" message and booked by phone, is your cruise one that is before the "available starting" date? In other words, is your cruise before one of these sailings? Nautica, November 10, 2009 Regatta, November 14, 2009 Insignia, November 25, 2009? Yes, we are sailing on November 25th:D:D:D

Remember that premium cabins can get reservations through their butler. Therefore they would probably not be in line when the ship boards.:)
