Rum Point -Transporation?

We really want to go to Rum Point - other than a rental car, what is the best way to get there? Is it best just to use the ship's excursion? Thanks.

The only feasible options for getting to Rum Point are:

- rental car

- ship's excursion

- private excursion

 

It's about a 45 minute drive from the port area. Most of the excursions (booked privately or via the ship) are likely ones that go by boat and include Stingray City as a stop.

Why not rent a car - we have been to GC several times and have always rented a car. there are many wonderful stops along the way and when you get to Rum Point you can enjoy it at your pace, not a tour company telling you how long you have.

 

rental cars are inexpensive and driving the Island is safe, just remember they drive on the left :)

I saw that Grand Cayman Cruise Excursions has a boat trip that goes to stingray city and Rum Point for $45. Its a 5 hour tour so you must get a a lot of time at Rum Point. We are thinking of trying it out
