ssatterly Posted October 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2009 It would have to mean Owners suite becase OV would be ocean view and I wouldthink that they would not down grade you to a OV from a Cat
Carnival Platinum Cruiser Posted October 17, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2009 Just checked our e-doc's this AM and noticed a catagory change from Cat. 11 to Cat. OS. Anyone know what this means, if anything? The old Cat 11 on empress and veranda decks are now called category OS (Ocean suite). Also cat 11 on main deck are now called junior suite. The old cat 12 are now called grand suite. Thes changes are on the Spirit call vessels. Another way to get a few more $$ for carnival making more categories. They also added several balcony cabin categories for more revenue.
firefly333 Posted October 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2009 It would have to mean Owners suite becase OV would be ocean view and I wouldthink that they would not down grade you to a OV from a Cat 11 There is a long thread from yesterday discussing the new categories. Seems that Carnival started with Spirit to do the changes. A way to charge more with more categories. Doesnt mean Owners Suite, just one of the new categories. Now instead of just 9A, there are also 9Bs, and more 8s to learn too. Not just cat 11 and 12 changed. Your Cat 11 category name is going to change too. You will still be in the same cabin. copvet Posted October 17, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted October 17, 2009 Thanks for the reply's fellow CC'ers. That does make alot of sense. My cabin number did not change, just the Cat. name/number. :)
