Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale (Freedom)?

For those whom have left out of FLL, what is the earliest time you have arrived at the Cruise Terminal on Embarkation Day?

 

When do they start boarding the ship?

 

What restaurants are open while still at the Cruise terminal? The Lido Buffet? MDR?

We were on the ship at 11:30am and were eating in the Lido by 11:45am. The staterooms open at 1:30pm

I think we arrived some time after 11 am and they were already boarding. As to what is open, depends on the ship? Sur Mer is open on some ships, but not all ships have it. The buffet and other Lido pool deck restaurants are the ones open. The dining room will be closed.

Safe?? Boarding typically starts some time after 10:30, some times not until a little after 11 am ...

 

I aim for 10:45 to arrive in a port, minimal waiting, so at least the check in typically has started, maybe not the boarding.
