I have 2 ?

Recommended Posts

First one is when will they post prices for Aug./Sept of 2006 on cruise line websites, and second when would you cruise, the last week of Aug or the first 2 weeks of Sept. We will be going to the Southern Caribbean and I was wondering if any of you have a preference between these two months and why. Thanks

My guess as to when they will be available is the beginning of the second quarter this year.

As the OP mentioned both are in hurricane season but don't let that worry you. This ship will steer clear of any weather problems. If I had the choice, I would choose the first two weeks of September as prices start to come down then.

One factor to consider is that kids are still not back to school (as least not on the east coast) until after labor day. August cruises may have a higher number of children. (that can either be a pro or a con, depending on your preference).

I have cruised the last week in August qith only 35 kids onboard. and the 2nd week in Septemeber with a smaller amount of kids onboard.

It is hurricane season but the prices are very hard to beat for that time of month- THe weather will be very hot and humid. arghhh.

Since I discovered taking vacations to a sunny climate in the winter-- I dont think I will leave one hot climate for another any time soon.

Thank you all for your answers. It's our Anniversary in Aug the last week and so I wanted to go close to it as a surprise for my husband. I think I'll start watching for the prices for aug sept as suggested by jcanino and I'm from Tx Serene56 so I am used to hot and humid just a bit concerned about the hurricanes but not enough to not cruise LOL.

Thanks again

gina
