Med Cruise

Everybody's idea of a wonderful ship is different. You should think what your budget is, then look at some prices on the different lines.

You should also think about what part of the Med. you'd like to hit. You posted here on the France board, which means western med. What countries do you want to visit?

Our first-time cruise ever (not just in the Med) was one year ago on Oceania's Nautica, Istanbul to Athens. We sailed again on Nautica in June, Athens to Rome, and now are continuing our westward explorations by sailing in May with Oceania Venice to Barcelona.

Great port-intensive itineraries, small ships (640 passengers max), no formal nights, no assigned meal times, two great specialty restaurants with no extra charge, lovely service, and ability due to small size to get you into ports very close to the places you want to see. For example, Sorrento rather than Naples, Taormina rather than Messina, etc.
