How does OBC work?

Recommended Posts

Thsi is only my 3rd cruise and my first time receiving OBC because we caught a price drop. If I want to book my excursions now (which I do) can I use my OBC in my account towards that and not have to actually pay, or is it very literally on board credit and not good until I am on the ship?

TIA!

Unfortunately,it is literally "on board" credit. If you want to book excursions now, you'll have to pay for them ahead of time and save your OBC for tips (if you aren't doing MTD and don't have to pre-pay) or other incidentals on the ship. If you're ok risking missing out on your first choice excursions, you could wait and book them on board, and in this case you could use the OBC to cover them.
