How do you travel from LAX to San Pedro

There will four adults and a teenager going on the Mexican Riviera cruise on December 26. Our flight arrives in LAX at 12:30. We are wondering if we should take the princess bus or a limousine. Which one would you recommend? Cancan you tell me the name of the limo service if you have used one and what your experience was?

While we live only 3 hours from the port, and therefore usually drive to the ship, there have been times when we needed to be near LAX before or after the cruise, so we have left our car parked there. We always use Supershuttle - a van service. You can make reservations on line, and they will have a van for you as soon as you "hit the street" with your luggage.

 

They price in two ways - if you are willing to have them "cruise" the airport and pick up more people to fill the van, it is slightly less than if you ask for a direct service for your party. Either way, we have found that it is cheaper than a Princess Transfer, though lightly less convenient, as you have to get your luggage to the street yourself.

I suggest a google search and look for super shuttle to port of san pedro. I think they are about $17 a person

We only live about an hour from the port, so we just drive, but it isn't that far from LAX. I think a taxi would end up being the same price as a limo, so I would priobably take the taxi.

My wife and I sailed from San Pedro twice during the last year. Both times we used Super Shuttle and were very pleased. Cost was $17.00 per person, we had 4 couples first time and 2 couples second time. In both cases we reserved the van and did not wait for the shuttle to pick up other passengers.

We used Prime Time Shuttle last week. They are to the right when you go outside after baggage pickup. They are next to Super Shuttle. Appears both are about the same price. After cruise, we just went to their stand outside cruise pier. No reservation.

What do you suggest for a hotel after the cruise for a one night stay. Our flight home leaves the day AFTER the cruise.

Also, would the Super Shuttle leaving from the Pier stop at a hotel, rather than the LAX airport?

Super Shuttle also stops at all the hotels. So does Prime Time.

ss475 the two most commonly used Hotels in San Pedro, are the Crowne Plaza and Double Tree. If you prefer depending on time your flight leaves I would suggest a Hotel closer to LAX.
