Greetings...

This was our first time on Carnival, we booked 6166, a category 11 cabin. The only benefit was the VIP check in, which was great, the first time we have been seated then escorted during the check in process.

The cabin was nice, the mattress surprisingly poor quality, so we asked for a foam topper.

They had put in a new flat screen TV and the quality of the reception was good, plus it has an interactive menu.

Balcony was a nice size, with two adjustable back chairs and a table.

The food and service was excellent.

Be sure and go to the first show. John Heald was our cruise director, but he left the ship when we did.

The big shows were the best we have seen at sea, I would suggest getting there early and on the main floor, many of the balcony seats have obstructed views.

We did all our excursions thru Carnival, excellent quality tours, and small groups.

The dolphin swim and turtle farm in Cayman had just 6 people in the pool with the dolphins.

The DVD and photos are 110 for the package, but we decided the quality of this lifetime adventure was worth it and every time we show it, we remember it just like we were in the pool.

Roatan was great, did the pirate, monkey, birds tour...bring insect spray, lots of mosquitoes by the birds and monkeys. I had packed it but forgot to bring it and they had a buffet that day...lol.

The did the behind the scenes tour that John had recommended on the last day. It was 95

dollars and lasted 4 hrs. very impressed. You go thru security checks and then escorted thru the crew only areas. Final destination was the bridge with photos and a nice chat with the captain. When we got back to our room they was a nice plate of pastries and treats from the chef. The photo book they gave us was not from the Legend, so we tossed that and the bag they gave us, but kept the ball caps.

They is only one 110 outlet in the cabin. We bring a fan with us, since the VCR was not in use we plugged the fan in there and used the plug in the dressing area to charge our electronics. The head of engineering said the ships were designed before all the electronics we now use and he said he uses an adapter for the 220 plugs.

The weather was perfect, a few showers at sea, but nothing that bothered us.

Will definitely sail Carnival again. We book according to the ports we want to visit, so we are going to Southern Caribbean next on Princess.

The people we meet were all very nice. The dining room was great, but the head guy was

a little strange, having the wait staff entertain us, dancing , singing, silly stuff. The guys were amazing and work very hard and always smiling. I know how hard they work, so it would be OK not to make them "perform" for me.

Getting on and off was the easiest we have every done, fly in the same day and left at 11am, the only problem was the passengers that were not listening and clogging the elevators when their time had been called. We saw people being turned away at the gang

plank because it was not their turn, then that caused a backup.

The only other thing I can think of, was the photo shop was poor quality and always crowded, since they blocked off one exit and everyone and to turn around and come back they way you came in. I think they try for quantify instead of quality, they were always taking photos, but lots of glare from the lights and out of focus.

OK, I think that's it...

Really enjoyed our table mates and lots of nice people on the cruise.

Excellent marks for food, service and entertainment.

Hope this helps...

Wolf
