Princess players club

No need to sign up for the Princess Players Club. It is not like the slots cards at a Vegas casino, where you build up points for future use or bennies.

You now open a slot account at the machine using your room key. The first day or two, there are alot of staff to help you out. You add money to your slot bank and add to or take from it as you wish.

The only bennie you get is after you play a thousand points worth, you get $10 deposited to your account.

You must withdraw all funds in it the last night before disembarkation. There are no points or cash to carry over to another cruise.

So does Princess allow you to charge your slot/video poker play to your portfolio so that you end up paying for your play with your American Express, Visa, etc? Carnival operates this way so we had to take lots less cash and travelers' checks on our cruises with them. Plus, we earned $$$ toward our year end rebate by having all of our play charged to the credit card. There may have been a daily limit on how much we could play and charge to the room, but I'm not certain. On Royal Caribbean and Celebrity we had to put cash into the machines in order to play. We'll be sailing on Princess in April and it would be helpful to know as we pack for the trip. Thanks in advance for any information.

Princess works exactly like Carnival - they are brands of the same parent company. You may transfer funds from your cruise card account to your slot bank up to $1500 per day, total $5000 per cruise. I don't know if this is per person, or per account (mine and DW for example). There is no charge for this transfer - not like at the tables, where drawing cash from your cruise card has a 3% fee added.

WARNING - you MUST "cash out" your slot bank back to the cruise card (at the casino cage) by the last night of the cruise or it will be gone forever - no carryover to the next cruise.

Can you pre order casino credit and use your AmEx card for it????

I haven't done this but there is a page on the web site for purchase of casino credit .

Good luck to both of you.

Shaklom, Andy.
