RCI, RC, RCI, RCCL, RCL? I am so confused! thx

RCI. Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) is the parent company to Royal Caribbean International (RCI), Celebrity, Azamara, etc. So when speaking of the cruise line, it should be RCI. When speaking of the company, it should be RCCL.

However, shoulda woulda coulda. Pretty much as long as it starts with RC, they're talking about Royal Caribbean. Pretty much, the abbreviations you will see the most are RCCL and RCI.

They asked a question, I was answering it and giving them the reason behind it. Personally, I don't care what people call it since, either way, I know what they are talking about. But when someone asks a question, I try to answer it to the best of my knowledge. :)

I want to love whatever 'IT' is, and want to call it something but am confused. Their marketing dept (dpt, dept, dept., depart., group, grp, grpt., collaboration, bunch, group, class, department) must wonder what we call them.

 

RC seems like the way to go.

 

As an IT person (IS, Computer, Computing, Information Systems, Computing, Computers, Information Technology, IT, InfoTech, whatever) I would love that they would standardize on something.

I always refer to Royal as RCCL. The main reason is there is a time share complany that is RCI, that has previously caused confusion on these boards regarding who was being talked about.

I refer to it as RCCL, since that is the parent company, and are the one's in charge of making the decisions that affect my posts! Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

But that is the stock syol of the holding company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, this board is a Royal Caribbean International board so should really be RCI
