cre8fmom Posted November 12, 2010 #328 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Our kids were diagonally across the hall from us in a boardwalk balcony Deck -14 Cabin # - 14307 Class – B1 Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Boardwalk Bed near?(balcony or bath) –bath, head of bed was on the left side of cabin Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. The balcony was right near where the zip line ended, giving you a great view and place to take pictures when the kids did the zip line. Note if connecting. ) – very quiet Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– ocean view, beautiful, no obstruction. Looking forward and up you could see the wing of the bridge. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal size and it was fine. small table and two chairs, we asked for a third chair and our room steward provided one. Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? none Any other comments? this cabin has a sofa bed and a pullman, since there were three of us, we chose to use the pullman for my son and were able to keep the sofa to use. This made it easier to maneuver and allowed us to use the sofa even if he was laying down. We did open the sofa bed one day just to see how it was and it does take up most of the remaining space in the room. Closet space and shelves look deceiving--I was worried but everything fit and there was even some extra space on a couple shelves that we didn't utilize! Looking forward and up you could see the wing of the bridge. Balcony Size? - oversized Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? hard to access the closet as the end of the sofa is very close to it Any other comments? as noted by others, the cabin is smaller than the same category cabins on Voyager and Freedom class ships, the storage is less, although we made it work for our b2b
kathyemma Posted November 28, 2010 #332 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Deck - 12 Cabin # - 12709 Class – Boardwalk Balcony Aft Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath Quiet Cabin – quiet - except for once or twice when a lot of noise was below on boardwalk - this was during the day, never heard noise at night. Balcony View - we could see the boardwalk, the ocean, the Aqua theater, rock wall #1. It was beautiful, no obstruction. Balcony Size? - normal - 2 chairs, high table Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? hard to access the closet - bed very close! Any other comments? as noted by others, the cabin is smaller than the same category cabins on Voyager and Freedom class ships, the storage is less, not many plugs but we made it work for 3 adults and a 12 year old. The sofa pulled out to sleep two and it had a pullman bed that came down from the ceiling over the sofabed. When everything was open it was VERY crowded. It was a great location - close to pools, restaurants, cl lounge - would book again. Kathy
lcs Posted January 7, 2011 #333 Share Posted January 7, 2011 It appears that the lowest deck anyone has stayed on is 6. Hasn't anyone stayed in a cabin on deck 3? It is an ocean view and I'm not sure what the noise would be. We will be in cabin 3222. Thanks in advance for any responnses.

disneymomtwo Posted February 27, 2011 #340 Share Posted February 27, 2011 (edited) Deck - 8 Cabin # - 8626 Class – Junior Suite Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Midship Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bathroom. In Junior Suite, the walk-in closet was on other side of cabin, so bed location was not an issue for closet access. Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Not connecting. Quiet. Back entrance to Giovanni's was near our room across the hall. Restricted access to staff only. When walking in the hallway, we could hear dishes clanking, noise coming from behind the door. But, we did not hear any of that noise in our cabin. We did not hear noise from neighboring cabins either. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Great view. We were on the edge of hump cabins, so couldn't look "straight" down ship, but we didn't find that the hump balconies really got in the way of our view. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Wider than normal balcony cabin balcony. Our balcony had 3 chairs and 1 table. We could have fit a 4th chair comfortably. Was wind a problem? There was wind noise from balcony door if it wasn't closed completely. A couple times we had closed and locked the door, but there was still wind noise. We just had to reopen and shut door a couple times to stop the noise. We were always able to stop it. Any specific problems with this cabin? Balcony door handle was loose. Any other comments? We had 4 of us in JS cabin - myself, dh, ds 12 and ds 16. The JS is wider than the Balcony cabins so there's more room in between bed and vanity. JS has walk-in closet and additional drawers in vanity which gave us the needed extra storage space for all of our stuff. Also, we requested and received a rollaway bed. The rollaway bed and couch bed were were basically up against each other with a tiny space in between them. There was room enough to walk between the rollaway bed and the chair to get to balcony when beds were both open. publicpersona Posted March 13, 2011 #346 Share Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) Deck - 9 Cabin # - 9315 Class – BV Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Boardwalk Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Noise from Boardwalk during the day. Balcony far from peaceful for that reason. Even with balcony door closed, some muffled noise. However, not a problem late evening through early morning. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Right above Seafood Shack, and view across the way to Johnny Rockets. Can see Aqua Theatre well, and also aft view of ocean through the Aqua Theatre. Re privacy, rooms opposite you can see perfectly into your room, so you have to keep at least the sheer closed if you want any privacy. Design of balcony is such that you can see into your next door neighbor's balcony just by looking left and right. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? Only that the design of these cabins on Oasis class favors chic, clean look over function. Only two drawers in entire room. Nightstands have no drawers at all. Safe is small compared to other RC ships. Any other comments? Bathroom looks upscale compared to other RC ships. More Celebrity-ish. mrchips14 Posted April 13, 2011 #348 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Deck - 9 Cabin # -140 Class – D7 Front Port Bed near?Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– You are over the first lifeboat. Balcony Size? - Normal Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? no Any other comments? OK location if you don't mind walking a lot. The bed by the closet is a pain. Not so much getting in the closet but getting around the room. Only one person can fit at a time passing the foot of the bed. So when getting dresses you keep bumping into each other. LOL I would try to get one with the bed by the balcony if I could.
rfbeing Posted May 11, 2011 #349 Share Posted May 11, 2011 Deck 10 Cabin # 10620 Class D5 Midship starboard Bed near balcony Cabin is quiet. Note: the area right across the hall is the crew stairwell. We heard no noise from it. Balcony view : good. No obstructions. Balcony size: normal Wind was not a problem. Had breakfast on balcony while at sea with no problems. Comments: 1. It is not near either elevator. We did not find it to be much of a problem. We just had to know which direction we wanted to go when we left the room (i.e., which elevator our destination is near). 2. There seemed to be good soundproofing between cabins. The people in the cabin next to us had their TV on. With both balcony doors open, it sounded really loud. With our balcony door shut, we heard nothing.
