Harley hire in St Maarten

Hi, was just wondering if anyone on the forums had hired a Harley in St Maarten? Is it a good experience and worth the £160 that P & O are charging? Thanks

carvin, as an ex biker I was seriously looking at one of the Harley tours available. The issue I noted was the various waivers and the $2000 dollar excess. I thought it was steep considering I could hire a Harley over here for much less ... now if only I could get the weather to go with it

Now I haven't been to St Maarten, but using any form of two wheeled transport in the islands is usually tantamount to a death wish!!

Paul really fancied this trip as well but the small print put me off. We are going to get our thrills on the America's Cup yacht race instead!

Hi Carvin we went in 2008 and i booked a harley over the internet it was approx half price compared to P&O .Also you get the bike for the full day

we managed to get all the way around the island (not very big).Taxi outside port take you to the shop.We met a couple at the shop who just turned up and hired one.Google st marteen hd and you should find the web site.

Best to check that your travel insurance covers you for it, I wanted to do it last year but ours didn't.
