Ecstasy lunch day we leave?

Hi again. Quick question-it is very important to have answered for the hubby:)

- never cruised and know we need to get to the dock a lot earlier than it says we ship sails. Well it says the ship sails at 4pm, I am reading a lot of people get there around noon. Is the Ecstasy open for lunch then or do people just sit an wait around until the ship leaves dock and then food is served?

Thanks ahead of time.

The ship might sail at 4, but you need to be there like 90 minutes before that to get your processed and cleared. And that's a minimum of 90 minutes. Go earlier. Lunch is most definitely served.

OP, we nearly always arrive around 11am for a 4pm sailing. If the ship is cleared and ready for passengers, then you can board early. This gives us time to start drinking the lovely Funship Specials, eat lunch on the Lido deck (plenty of food options available BTW), get a map and wander all around the ship before the Muster drill and Sail Away.

One thing to remember if you do board early, is that you will most likely be lugging around your carry-on stuff for awhile until the rooms are ready, which they say is around 1:30. Sometimes it's earlier, and some prople try to drop their stuff off on their room early, but that's not a guarantee.

Enjoy your first cruise! And be prepared to join the cruising obsession. :)
