ss12345 Posted December 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2009 We have 4 staterooms and would like to put the teens in the same stateroom, but on booking they said an adult had to be in each room. From talking with others they said just to book it that way but when you check in you can change it around. So how do we change to have the teens all in the same room so that there card will still be attached to their parents cc and get them access to the right stateroom  Thanks! firefly333 Posted December 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Are the children under age 12?? You did say teens... so if they are teens, they can be 3 cabins away. Here is the ammended policy, not a big deal since people do it anyway but makes it easier to book: Carnival has relaxed their minor age policy to allow for more flexibility when everyone is traveling on the same sailing. Passenger Age Policy Details 18- 20 years of age Can book a cabin anywhere on the ship as long as the parents, grandparents or legal guardians are on same sailing. Everyone in that minor age cabin needs to be 18-20 years of age. 13 – 17 years of age Can have their own cabin as long as it is located within 3 staterooms (this is the maximum number of staterooms allowed) from their parents, grandparents or legal guardian. 12 years and under Must be booked in parents’ cabin, no exceptions. Note: It is mandatory that all minor age bookings be cross referenced with the parents’, grandparents’ or legal guardian’s booking. Carnival will document all bookings on their side as well. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1089484&highlight= My PVP has confirmed that children can be as far as 3 cabins away for 12 and over group. ss12345 Posted December 1, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2009 We have 22,17,17 on a different level and the parents are right next to each other a floor up. However it is last minute so a 4 person wasnt close to the 2 person rooms. Our travel agent booked it with putting one of 3 previously mentioned ages in each of the three staterooms. So we just have to change it somehow with out getting in trouble but not sure how to do so.
kgarroutte Posted December 1, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2009 We booked dh in a room with 3 teens and myself in a room with the other teen so we could get past guest perks. Then we changed on the ship. But in your case...they will not let you book a room with no one under 18 unless is is next to, directly across from, or diagonal from your room. Not even on the same floor. So it's not going to work. I would keep an eye on cabins on carnival's website and see if something else opens up. yogi2929 Posted December 1, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2009 You can go to the Purser's Desk and get a Room Key. Last cruise our teens had their own room. At their curfew they had to call us from their cabin. I called them back to confirm that they were actually in their room. (Yes, they were there.)
