Jade13 Posted December 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Does SilverSeas give a discount or OBC if you book a future cruise while onboard? Does it have to be a specific cruise? I just realized that nothing like this was offered to us while on PAII. We never received any brochures in our cabin either. I'm wondering if it even mattered if 2011 itineraries were not out yet at the time. Some cruise lines do future Cruise credits where the exact cruise does not have to be named. Also, could any of this not be combined with the 50 and 60% off now being offered as the Venetian Society savings can't be used?
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Silversea does have an on board booking consultant on most cruises except in a few cases which had been mentioned on this board where they were short handed in this area. When you book the cruise you do get a discount. They also had a good policy where if the 2011 itineraries were not available you could have booked a 2010 cruise and then pushed it out to 2011 when the 2011 itineraries are available. It is combinable with other discounts if those discounts are offered on that particular cruise. Keith

When they were short staffed did they allow those passengers to book and get the discount when they got home?

When they were short staffed did they allow those passengers to book and get the discount when they got home? On the booking we did the on board booking discount was around 2.3% per person before other discounts. In our case, the other discounts were back to back savings, venetian society savings, and taking a credit in lieu of the air. I remember someone posted on this board sometime over the summer before we took our August cruise that on one of their cruises that the on board consultant was pulled off the ship to go to another ship and either on board the ship or when they got home and followed up on it that they were able to do some type of open booking. Hopefully, whoever this happened to can elaborate. Keith
