Civitavecchia:shuttle from train to ship?

Does Costa have a shuttle from the Civitavecchia train station to the boat? It is just a short way, but we took a cab last year and it was quite expensive for such a short ride. Came to find out MSC offered a free shuttle back and forth.

I almost think it is walkable. Has anyone done that? I could probably do a good 1/2 mile with luggage.

There may be a shuttle from the airport to the ship but I do not know of one from the train station. We toted our luggage to the port gate and got the shuttle there to the ship.

The free shuttle is from the port entrance to the dock where the ship is. From the train station to the port you're on your own.

The walk from the train station to the port entrance (where there are free shuttles) is maybe three blocks. It is not far at all...I've done it with a ton of luggage in tow

 

When you exit the station, head towards your right.

thanks for the info, just what I was looking for. I have gone a lot further with more luggage, so this will be a breeze
