Sue L Posted December 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2009 there is a Hyatt right inside the terminal that has a pool and such and you can get a room there to hang for the day You could rent a car and go to NASA, or some other site and your luggage will be in the car. Aqua Bliss Posted December 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2009 RCL has a tour that will take you to the Space Center then drop you at the airport. We did this a couple years ago it was worthwhile, took up a lot of time, very educational and dropped us at the airport.
Rare VernRDH Posted December 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2009 We did a day room at the Hyatt in the airport one time. It was great because a) we had a real shower to use b) the pool kept DD busy c) all kinds of food and shopping there to peruse while the luggage was safe in the room. We swam, hung out and watched TV. Had a balcony that looked down into the terminal so we could keep an eye on the security lines. I don't know how much it runs now, but then (2005) it was about $90. boulders Posted December 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2009 How about visiting Cape Kennedy? 4-5 hours is a good length of time to visit.
Klutz Posted December 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Hi Mom, hehe We rented a car at the airport ($43) and went shopping at the outlets and had lunch.
cb at sea Posted December 7, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Price both the cost of a dayroom, a rental car, and changing your flight to an earlier time....pick the most economical! If you can't move the flight to an earlier time, the dayroom is the best idea....you'll be off the ship by 9am or so....that's ALOT of time to "kill"! jenrie Posted December 7, 2009 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Ship tour to Kennedy Space Centre, they have a new attraction now Space Shuttle experience. Of all the excursions we have done over the years the Space Centre is definately the best. The coach will get you back to the Airport in plenty of time for your flight.
