spending disembarkation day in Orlando....

Our flight doesn't leave till 6:30 on disembarkation day...........any ideas on how to spend the day after leaving the ship, keeping in mind we have our luggage. Any help would be appreciated.

there is a Hyatt right inside the terminal that has a pool and such and you can get a room there to hang for the day

 

You could rent a car and go to NASA, or some other site and your luggage will be in the car.

RCL has a tour that will take you to the Space Center then drop you at the airport. We did this a couple years ago it was worthwhile, took up a lot of time, very educational and dropped us at the airport.

We did a day room at the Hyatt in the airport one time. It was great because a) we had a real shower to use b) the pool kept DD busy c) all kinds of food and shopping there to peruse while the luggage was safe in the room. We swam, hung out and watched TV. Had a balcony that looked down into the terminal so we could keep an eye on the security lines. I don't know how much it runs now, but then (2005) it was about $90.

How about visiting Cape Kennedy? 4-5 hours is a good length of time to visit.

We rented a car at the airport ($43) and went shopping at the outlets and had lunch.

Price both the cost of a dayroom, a rental car, and changing your flight to an earlier time....pick the most economical!

If you can't move the flight to an earlier time, the dayroom is the best idea....you'll be off the ship by 9am or so....that's ALOT of time to "kill"!

Ship tour to Kennedy Space Centre, they have a new attraction now Space Shuttle experience. Of all the excursions we have done over the years the Space Centre is definately the best. The coach will get you back to the Airport in plenty of time for your flight.
