lady_cruiser Posted December 14, 2009 #28 Share Posted December 14, 2009 I am looking at the Galveston webcam and I don't see any ships. Are they gone or is the fog so bad I just can't see em? They are still there - 12:53 PM. Trying refreshing your screen. But check out the harbor cam and beach cam. There is a powerful storm coming in. Puffinater Posted December 14, 2009 #32 Share Posted December 14, 2009 Voyager is home?? Not sure this calculates. If the Voyager only sails from Galveston aprrox. 4 months of the year and Europe for the remainder of the year it would seem to me Europe would be home and it is just visiting Galveston. Rare BecciBoo Posted December 14, 2009 #36 Share Posted December 14, 2009 You can see big black smoke coming from the stacks when she blows:D And yes, I saw it a couple of times. Rancher Dave Posted December 14, 2009 #40 Share Posted December 14, 2009 Anybody care to be working guest relations on the Voyager right now? For sure!!! Weather is not RCCLs fault but I am sure folks who woke up to find themselves still in Texas were thinking, gosh I didn't realize Texas was so large...:D Seriously, on the cruise cam watch the wx outlook was not good for getting the ship out real soon...if there is lots of dense fog offshore that could be holding them back, and that was the predicted weather until 0600 Tuesday. Rare BecciBoo Posted December 14, 2009 #41 Share Posted December 14, 2009 Holy Cow...horns hee hee...like that Dave? I can't wait to see if Erica posts about her trials the past 24hrs! I bet she's up to her eyeballs in alligators!

Rare SliderNc Posted December 14, 2009 #44 Share Posted December 14, 2009 It sucks they are being kept in port. One would think with the advances in technology such as radar and GPS, as well as the need for pilots to navigate them through the channel and out to see what even if they took their time and did it slower than usual, they wouldn't have been kept at see. I guess the fog is really much worse than the webcams pose it to be.
Rare BecciBoo Posted December 14, 2009 #45 Share Posted December 14, 2009 I saw something for a split second floating around the bow, or are you talking about the yacht tied up there? Sweet is right. Here's a pic for you if you like that sort of thing. This on had its own Zodiac and submarine and was ported over by the casino at Atlantis when we were in Bahamas this summer: Wait Looks like the pilot boat has arrived! Nope! Relax, no need to name call. No intentions of being snide. Just trying to figure things out. Just did not seeem to make sense to me. Maybe you could have taken the time to explain rather than name call and make snide remarks. I don't care but obviously you do.
Rare BecciBoo Posted December 14, 2009 #47 Share Posted December 14, 2009 The black smoke from the funnel has absolutely nothing to do with the ship's horn! Sorry to disagree, but I have watched it from 30 feet away and it does blow black smoke when they blow the horn. Absolutely. And Conquest has just dropped her lines! RMILLER4292 Posted December 14, 2009 #50 Share Posted December 14, 2009 Puffinater...it seemed like you were being demeaning to the OP by pointing out in your terms how It could not be possible that the Voyager would be "home" in Texas.... the "not sure this calculates" remark is the condescending part...I'm pretty sure the OP knows that the Voyager is only here for four months....but he/she feels like Texas is her home....my point is what good is it doing for you to make a remark like that...
