Superbowl on Caribbean Princess?

I am cruising on Caribbean Princess - Feb 7 to 14th. Does anyone know if they will be showing the superbowl game.

Don't know for sure but if I had to guess I'd say yes, at least on MUTS. We were on the Ruby Princess over Thanksgiving and they showed a number of football games on MUTS over the 10 days.

I think they'll be piping the game into the rooms too...as well as MUTS

My wife and two sons will be on the same cruise. A review I read from last year stated that they showed the Super Bowl on the main screen by the pool on the Lido Deck. I'm looking forward to watching the Colts play while on board the Caribbean Princess!! :)

On Crown last year it was on MUTS and in other spots too. Lots of fun! They had snacks and popcorn also.

Yup it will be shown... Have sailed two years in a row during Superbowl. Usually it is shown on Muts and usually they do a big event in the Explorer's lounge too. They sell t-shirts, have drink specials, play games during half time. NOte you don't get the commercials though :(

 

Don't recall the game in the room though, but then again I never really looked for it.

We were on the Emerald last year and Super Bowl Sunday was a big party. Seats and chairs on deck near MUTS were full by 3:00 and the beer was flowing. It was lots of fun until it rained. But still fun anyway. As someone else mentioned, they were selling hats, t-shirts, etc and had lots of snacks for the game. If you didn't want to be outside, there was also a part indoors at Club Fusion (I think) and the game was shown on TV in your cabin if you just wanted to watch there.

 

They did keep reminding everyone that the game wasn't guaranteed. They get it through an International feed so if there are satellite issues, you may not get it. Also, as mentioned, since it is not the normal US feed, you will not get the commercials. I remember we saw a lot of International ESPN commercials. And if I remember correctly, you did get to see the halftime show.

 

Along with a lot of pizza, nachos, popcorn and a couple of buckets of beer, fun was had by all!!!
