Zeno Posted December 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2009 This is a question for anyone on a recent Dawn 9-day cruise. What time (local time) did you arrive at Tortola and at what time were you allowed off the ship? Thanks.

alwayssingin Posted December 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2009 We were on the last 9-day. We seemed to arrive in every port on time, from what I recall, and debarkation began shortly after. We did not tender in Tortola (our only tender was in Samana) and had no problem walking right off.
Zeno Posted December 18, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted December 18, 2009 I am relieved to hear that you were on time but do you happen to remember exactly what time (local time) they let you off the ship Thx again
Geobugs Posted December 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2009 All ports on the 9 Day NCL Dawn, should be an hour ahead. I.E. I am planning on the 10:30am Speedy's ferry to be 9:30am ship time. But lets hear from others.

In theory, that's what I am planning too - so I am just trying to get times confirmed - so I know how quickly I have to hustle to the ferry dock. But lets hear from others. We were on the first 9 day sailing (20 Nov) and arrived in all ports along the way on time. Ship's time gets moved to be the same as shore time. First time adjustment was the first (Friday) night (1 hr forward) - clocks were turned 1 hr back again after departure from St Kitts (Thursday night). NJGeorge Posted December 20, 2009 #11 Share Posted December 20, 2009 In theory, that's what I am planning too - so I am just trying to get times confirmed - so I know how quickly I have to hustle to the ferry dock. Was just there on 12/4/09 cruise. Speedy's added a couple of ferry's to accommodate the crowds, as there were a couple of ships in port that day. You will have no problem getting a ferry. Hope this helps....
tonyajo Posted December 21, 2009 #12 Share Posted December 21, 2009 We are on 9-day Dawn currently. Tomorrow we will be in Tortola. Time of arrival is 9:00. That should be local time. We moved our clocks forward one hour on Friday night.
