Need Help with Conquest Cabins

Ok, we've been twice before on the Conquest and stayed both times on the Empress Deck (7) which we loved. DH surprised me at Christmas and said we were going to go on the Valentine's Day (2010) cruise, which is only in 6 weeks. The problem is that now there are no cabins on the deck we like. Does anyone have experience with deck 6 (Upper) Cabins 6220 or 6226? The TL lounge is below and I don't know how noisy it may be. Any advice?

ALso, we have some choices on the Verandeh deck (8), 8260, 8376, 8388. Anyone know about those? I know that Lido is directly above, so I don't want one under the pool area. I've read that under the buffet area is ok....I'd love to have your input:)

Thanks!

You are looking at the even side of the Conquest= good choice.

But check to see what exactly is under you.

Being over the casino is fine- over the sports bar is fine.

Being over top of the stage area of any lounge is NOT a good idea. Try to chose a cabin over the seating area of the lounge.

Being under the lido deck-- being under the pool area-- you could get chair scrapping noise. If booking under the buffet area--avoid kitchen areas like the pizzeria which is opened 24 hours a day. Being directly under the buffet is fine-- its carpeted.

But the higher you go the more you pay.

PS- Im checking various online agencies-- and it seems the reason you might not be seeing any available balconies on the empress deck is because of free upgrades to the veranda deck- did you speak to an agent about availabity on the Empress deck?

PS- have you checked air fare yet?? I see 7442 AND 7444 is available
