bobby1119 Posted January 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2010 I'm sailing on EOS for the first time out of Cape Liberty for the first time in a few weeks. Are fold-over garment bags allowed as carry-on items? I am assuming that small rolling suitcases and duffle bags can be taken aboard as well. Thank you for the help. 138east Posted January 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2010 You can carry on anything that will fit through the scanners. I don't know the exact size but I'm sure a garment bag, small rolling suitcases, and small duffle bags would qualify. I can understand your reluctance to let go of luggage, but this is not like flying. When you disembark, the porters put your luggage directly onto a cart and you can see them do it. That card goes directly to the ship. Lost luggage (assuming you have tagged it properly) doesn't seem to be an issue between the disembarkment area and your cabin. hazz24 Posted January 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2010 I have always brought our garment bag on with us. That way there are less wrinkles as you can hang it up pronto.
megr1125 Posted January 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2010 keep in mind cabins aren't ready til 1 or 1:30 and if you're aboard before then you'll be hauling your stuff.... as long as it will fit thru an airport-type scanner you'll be fine
