At least it wouldn't be another beach.............. my DH enjoys caves and these are pretty unique and were highly recommend to use by a couple who have traveled the world. Not all caves look alike in the Midwest where we live but maybe all the UK cave do look alike.
Johnthed0g Posted January 10, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2010 Up to you, been to see them as well as others in the world. Agree though about at least it's not another beach!
Aplmac Posted January 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2010 I'd like to point out that in geological terms Harrisons Cave is a living cave, in that it is still being formed and sculpted by the actions of running water...all through the cave. Most dead caves have already been formed in this manner, and now have no running water through them! How many dead caves have you been through before? -probably quite a few. How many living caves have you been through before? Not too many? .
Johnthed0g Posted January 10, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 10, 2010 Can't say I'd noticed, in any case Geologically speaking we are talking one heck of a long time to notice anything changing! Ok the caves are...interesting, but not the high point of a visit, as long as people don't expect too much of them.
JP46 Posted January 16, 2010 #10 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Holland America just cancelled our April excursion of the caves. :( I guess the renovations are not expected to be finished by then.
