sunseeker09 Posted January 24, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 24, 2010 I just wanted to add that although there is a fare guide that the drivers can refer to when you negotiate, they can be (at least our fabulous driver Wayne was) willing to negotiate a decent rate if you want a custom tour of the island. We paid $80 to go all the way through the scenic route through town, with photo stops, to Crane and out to Bottom Bay, then back to Accra beach. (We later went with our friend and got another cab back to the ship) I had inquired previously with some of the tour companies and they wanted double what we paid! So we felt that $40 p/p for a private, custom tour was very fair (so we tipped him very well :) ) It was a perfect day in Barbados and it wasn't even pre-planned. Johnthed0g Posted March 4, 2010 Author #14 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Are those one way fares and in Barbados $$$ ? BDS$ I think, but do make sure you are on the same page as the taxi guy. I posted the guide as a guide please don't take it as "gospel" but it gives an idea.
