minnieiowa Posted January 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Hello - We are flying into FLL the night before our cruise. I am going to bid on priceline, but I am confused as to which area on the priceline map I should choose. We wont have a car, so we need something in the area of the cruise terminal or airport. I wasnt sure which area the cruise terminal is actually located in. here are the choices: thanks for any help 1 Coral Springs – 2 Downtown Ft Lauderdale – 3 Ft Lauderdale - Airport North – 4 Ft Lauderdale Airport (FLL) – 5 Ft Lauderdale Beach Area – 6 Ft Lauderdale North – 7 Hollywood – 8 Miramar – 9 Pompano Beach – 10 West Ft Lauderdale - Plantation

eandj Posted January 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2010 If you go to betterbidding.com and to biddingfortravel.com, you can find the list of hotels most often won on priceline for Ft. Lauderdale. You'll also find hints on how to bid. Once you decide what star rating you want, check out the actual hotel websites on the list and see what the going rate is for your particular night. Then depending on when you need it (peak vs nonpeak) start with a bid 35-50% below going rate. Remember these are non cancellable. So you should do your homework re location and reviews of possible hotels before you bid. Cuz you are stuck with whatever you get. Good luck!! royalcruz Posted January 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2010 Go for downtown, 3* or 4*. It is the only way to guarantee that you won't need a car to get around.
