Colorado Kat Posted January 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I'm trying to check for price drops. Just pulled up the prices for cabins, and it said From $819 for balcony. But I try to put my 3 people in, and we're back at $995 for a balcony. That $819 figure only works for 2 people. Any suggestions? Any insight as to why this is? Thanks....Kathy
Sue L Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2010 Because the entry level balcony does not hold 3 people that is why are automatically bumped to the next level and the higher price.
beachchick Posted January 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I think it's because they want to be able to put GTY passengers into any cabin the cruise line chooses. Not all cabins can hold more than two passengers. Only so many cabins on each cruise can be booked with more than two passengers, so that would also place limits on how the cruise line could manage GTY passengers. It simply doesn't give them the flexibility they want. beachchick
The_Big_M Posted January 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2010 Agree with beachchick. Also, it's not just balconies but other cabins too. It's standard - I've never seen a guarantee available to 3 or more.
