rosinryanz Posted January 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2010 We are a couple, ages 21 and 27, who are looking for a cruise with some fine dining and formality (which is hard to get in the same sentence here in Los Angeles). We are both well traveled and good conversationalists, but we were concerned if fellow (slightly older) cruisers would even accept us as fellow passengers, or would they be warm and welcoming? Any thoughts from people who have cruised on Silverseas before?
wripro Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2010 You will be welcomed with open arms and you will enjoy your fellow passengers no matter their age. I only wish there had been a Silversea or Seabourn when I was in my twenties.
CASHIPman Posted January 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2010 Ditto to what wripro says. Are you friendly? Are you intelligent? Are you interesting? Age doesn't matter. Today we had lunch with an 84 year old spitfire (I'm 46, my partner 53) and loved it. (We sailed with her before when she was a mere 82!) Don't let your age (or anyone's age) be a deterrent. seagirl2002 Posted January 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2010 I did my first Silversea Cruise at the age of 22...I loved it and travelled since then approx. 500 days with Silversea...I am sure you will love it
justin2travel Posted February 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2010 I am 32 and preparing for my Silversea cruise. We will probably be some of the younger guests, but I look forward to meeting great people as well as enjoying fine service and cuisine.
