Thanks A beach in Belize is a major effort. Requires a boat and a fairly long trip to one of the islands or cays. Little to no wave action means that Belize has never developed sandy beaches. Where else are you going? Roatan has some really nice beaches and super snorkeling (West Bay beach).

Limon and Colon......wish I would have picked a different cruise but got a great deal on 8 days. These places seem very scary to be traveling with 2 beautiful teen girls. Thanks A ship's tour is convenient because the boat picks up at the ship's tender doors. The islands are surrounded by reef. The snorkeling was very good. The snorkel boat anchors at Goff's Cay (Rendezvous Cay, also). It's a shallow, short walk from the boat to the beach. Have not been to a beach and do not remember seeing a sandy beach on either of our tours. Perhaps you will find a nice Beach in Costa Rica. We are advanced snorkelers and having been to Belize several times know we need to book an excursion. How is the snorkeling at these islands. Any one better than another? Thank you. The snorkeling was quite good. It is shallow, being near the island , but that makes it easy for the kids. I didn't discern much difference between the two cays. Howver, it is the same reef. :)
