Altun Ha in the rain????

Leaving on Monday & expect to be in Belize on 1/28. The forecast is 80 to 100 % rain (not just showers)

 

What would the road be like going to & from the ruins--is it pavement or dirt at some point..? also viewing in the rain or climbing (slippery I expect!)

 

Has anyone done this in bad weather? Have seen other ruins in mexico, so should we cancel by Sun or Mon if the forecast remains so poor???

Our River Wallace/Altun Ha Carnival excursion was cancelled the first week of January 2010 because of the pouring rain....:(

we are back & it turned out fine--no rain--glad b/c the roads do get primitive--I posted more info about our tour under the ruins thread-- had a great day!!!

 

Take mega bug spray-- the mosquitos loved me even with the spray!!
