gehrandt Posted January 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2010 From what I understand Southwest isn't part of the NCL baggage program but does have a truck outside for those flying SW - has anyone used their service? Cost? Is it a big help rather then checking bags at the airport? Thank you.
Nanatravel Posted January 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2010 It is the Bags to Go program. A link is pretty hard to find but I'll try. It costs $20. When you arrived at the airport, there should be a Southwest representative near the luggage carousels. Arrange/Pay for your Bags to Go program there. Nanatravel Posted January 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2010 I could not find the link but the Bags to go web page does not have LAX as an airport yet. They are working on many airports though, so maybe it will be active by the time you travel.
bflysmile Posted January 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2010 we used the Southwest bags service last year in Ft Lauderdale - $10 per bag and they gave us the boarding pass and we just had to show up at the airport. It was nice because our flight was later in the day and we didn't have to worry about bags and waiting in the long lines at the airport. I tried to find the site online to pay ahead of time, and found it but the site won't work. when I did finally get it to work they needed some sort of 6-digit number that they didn't define or explain! needless to say, i couldn't do it online. but it doesn't seem like paying at the pier is a problem. which is a good thing!
