LYNNF Posted February 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2010 Anyone who has done the 4x4 Green Monkey Encounter, I would like to know if it is difficult getting into the vehicle. Do they have a step for us very short people who have a lot of difficulty getting into SUV or jeeps without steps. I have shied away from these tours in the past because of this worry, but decided to ask if anyone can help answer my question. Much appreciated. While I'm asking, how about Catamaran tours, ? steps into boat? Lynn
WILECOY Posted February 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Just back from doing this tour. You ride in the back of a truck fitted with seats and seatbelts. There is a step. My 11 year old and 5 year old did not have an issue with getting in or out. Just to let you know, this is a 4x4 tour. They drive through sugar cane fields on very rough dirt/grass paths. We had members of our group left with some minor bruises afterwards. We all had a blast anyway. I am working on getting some photos up and I do have a pic of the tour truck. Aplmac Posted February 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Yes, it can be a bumpy ride for those sitting over the rear axle!! Solution? Beg for the vacant seat in the cab, next to the driver. Far more civilzed and comfortable! ;) .
WILECOY Posted February 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2010 Here is a link to the picture of the truck. You can see the step on the back. I have a video of the ride itself that I will try to post later this week. I hope this helps you out. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2401991490075370429bqRsTY
