Ontinyent Posted February 20, 2010 #27 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Just a thought for those who have not reserved a cabin. We had booked a standard outside cabin on deck 5 /6. On looking at the deck plans the standard ones are at the bow and stern of both decks and look like they get quite small towards the stern. The middle of the ship is taken up by the outside plus cabins. So not wanting to get lumbered with a small double cabin at the back on 5 which might be right over the propeller and engine we've booked a cabin on deck 6 which looks a reasonable size towards the bow on the port side. We were lucky as there were not many left to reserve. And with going up one deck with a proper window instead of a porthole. I'll let you know how we get on on our return. Berwyn Hi again Berwyn, looks like we have booked around the same area as you but starboard. Cabin 6041, shall be even more interested than before on your reports now. Seems to be the ideal location to us without upgrading to outside plus, which was quite a bit more. No public rooms above or below, window rather than port hole. We think we've done alright, hope your cruise confirms this. Ali

On the opposite side to you but in the same area. DW doesn't like to be too close to the water and doesn't fancy seeing the sea going up and down outside the portholes like you see in the lower decks. I'll let everyone know as soon as we're back Also the cabins are bigger than the Island Escape and we managed fine in those. Also for the amount of time you spend in there it's not worth the extra for larger ones in our opinion. Berwyn
