ScubaJune Posted February 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Originally I was planning to go to Carlisle Bay so I could snorkel the shipwreck sight there but it seems like Accra is a beautiful beach worth visiting. Can anyone tell me if I can snorkel there? if so, what is it like? Thanks!
Aplmac Posted February 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Yes, there's snorkelling to be had at Accra. It's a man-made reef, placed there about 15 yrs. ago. See the straight dark 'bar' at upper left? That's it. Not sure about snorkel equipment rentals: haven't seen any -only BoogeyBoards, chairs, umbrellas, etc. . Aplmac Posted February 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2010 are they close to west or east coast? That would be West Coast. East Coast(Atlantic) is too rough, except for a few days/weeks in Summer(Hurricane Season) Sorry but I don't know much about where those guys stop to snorkel.
