snorkeling with contacts

I have only snorkeled a few times, without my contacts everything is blurry and I don't get much enjoyment. Has anyone snorkeled with contacts in and how did it workout???

Just got back from a cruise--snorkeled with contacts several times with no problems, just make sure your mask fits well. On one of our excursions they even offered masks with prescription lenses! Have fun!

Never thought about it, I wear glasses & my eyes have got worse, can't see a thing without, haven't snorkeled for ages.

Contacts and snorkeling work well. And I also accidently got a few drops of salt water in my eyes. As soon as the stinging went away, the contacts were fine, not like if you get fresh water in them.

Just make sure your face is dry. If you do get water on it wipe your eyes well before opening them. I always carry solution in my beach bag to rinse my eyes out after being in salt water. We bring our own mask and snorkel now so we know they fit well.

I think I will try it with my contacts. I will bring solution and my case in case I have issues. It will definitely be better than seeing a bunch of blurs swiming around.
