What is the best way to book a flight from Pennsylvania, if we were to do this Alaskain cruise

You want an "open jaw" itinerary, home to Anchorage, Vancouver or Seattle to home. Use the "multiple flights" (or some such name) on any travel site.

 

In general flights out of Vancouver are somewhat more expensive than from Seattle, but you then have to arrange your own transportation from Vancouver to Seattle, and for destinations on the east coast, also possibly have to spend an extra night on the west coast, as most flights to the east leave in the early morning or late at night ("red-eyes.")

 

There are buses and a daily train from Vancouver to Seattle, or you can rent a car one way.
