Celebrity Century 4/17/10

My husband just booked this 5 day cruise for us as a surprise for me. We have never cruised Celebrity - Carnival, Holland America and I have done a cruise for work on NCL. What should we expect?

 

Ports are Ocho Rios and Grand Caymen. Any recomendations for excursions? We have been to George Town before so we have done StingRay City, Hell, Turtle Farm - so maybe just 7 mile beach for us.

 

I know this is probably a repeat of another thread but please be patient. It is hard to scan so many different threads!!

I will be in Georgetown next month for the first time so I booked the full tour through Cayman in a nutshell. They have other tours also.

What a nice surprise!

 

Of the 3 cruise lines you've sailed, I'd say Celebrity is closest to Holland America. There seem to be fewer activities but more "little perks", like robes and tote bags in the cabin.

 

We were on Century last month and I thought the food was very good with lots of variety and options. The pastries and desserts in the Cova Cafe are free - yummy. I loved the fresh pasta station and the sushi.

 

Carnival seems to have the best bedding. The bedding on the Century was just ok.

 

Also, the pool area on Century is on the small side. But other than that, we really enjoyed Century and would definitely go again.
