Santyclaws Posted February 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Hello! What is included in the concierge class? I saw that daily bottled water is included in the Aqua class. Is that for concierge as well? I saw that there is a butler service available. Is this an extra cost? I tried to do a search, but I kept getting "database error," or something to that effect. Many thanks! Santy:)
Cruisenouvelle Posted February 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2010 No butlers in Concierge Class, only the suites. Also, I believe your water will be in a carafe, not bottled.

I would get 4 credits if so.
firstplacechef Posted February 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2010 You only get the sailing credit for the one room. There is a maximum of 3 credits per sailing. One for cruise and extra one for cruises of 12 nights or more and an additional one for CC class, Aqua Class or Suite.

J & G Posted February 17, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2010 This is from the Celebrity Website. Just go to www.celebritycruises.com and type in "Concierge Class" in the search at the top for more info. Concierge Class Indulgences: • Welcome sparkling wine • Daily fruit selection • Fresh-cut flowers • Daily hors d'oeuvres • Pillow Menu - Conformance, Body,Goose, and Isotonic® • Duvets and pillow-top mattresses • Leather key holder, personalized stationery and a tote bag • Frette bathrobes • Hansgrohe® showerhead • Early embarkation and debarkation • Dining and seating preference • Preference on shore excursions • Shoeshine service We are just off Millennium. Here is what we got: Concierge Class Indulgences: • Welcome sparkling wine - bottle of chilled inexpensive champagne • Daily fruit selection - yes. Some was left from day to day. • Fresh-cut flowers - sort of; flowers were replaced only when quite wilted. • Daily hors d'oeuvres - asked for cheeses and crackers - nice! • Pillow Menu - Conformance, Body,Goose, and Isotonic® - never saw that. • Duvets and pillow-top mattresses - NOT! Mattress was AWFUl...hard, but sagged in the middle of each twin bed section! And not pillow-top! Asked for a foam pad - got an ill-fitted egg crate that helped some, but was placed crosswise on the bed because it did not fit. • Leather key holder, personalized stationery and a tote bag - got only the tote bag • Frette bathrobes - didn't use them • Hansgrohe® showerhead - can't tell you. Didn't look at the brand, but it worked fine. • Early embarkation and debarkation - Nope! • Dining and seating preference - did Select Dining; REALLY not good the first few nights! • Preference on shore excursions - didn't use them • Shoeshine service - didn't ask; didn't get. Also, one of the amenities is supposed to be binoculars in CC balcony staterooms. We had none. When we asked, we got a puzzled look and were told that there was no such thing. Others in our group (same stateroom attendant) had them in their cabins. We found that out at the end of the cruise during a conversation about being able to see Venezuela. Hmmmmmm......... kitkat9438 Posted February 17, 2010 #12 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Santyclaws, what ship are you sailing? If you are sailing on the M class ships, such as Summit, you will have a larger cabin and balcony than the regular balcony cabin. The size is noticeable between the bed and the mirror in front of it. Much more room to walk around. Your balcony furniture is also better. You do not get bottled water but a carafe of iced water. We did not receive a pillow menu either, but read about the choices and just told our attendant what we wanted and got it. We did receive two different tote bags and the leather card holder. We especially loved the expanded breakfast menu that is available to concierge class and above, with fresh squeezed juices. I will post the menu here for you to see. We only went to the breakfast buffet one morning and after fighting the crowds, ordered room service the rest of the trip. Really nice to sit out on the balcony and eat our breakfast. Many thanks! Santy:) If you are sailing on an S-class ship, go for AQ over CC, MANY more amenities included. Often, the price differential is minimal. We had more bottled water than we could store on Equinox (not that this is a big issue with me). I've been reading here that X is discontinuing the carafes on water so you may want to bring some on board if you really need bottled water. I would choose CC on a non S class ship for the extra credit & choice locations rather than the perks which are pretty minimal.

I think that =X= is having lots of false advertising that its Customer Service department often fails to acknowledge. Don't know about CC, which is the class we are sailing on this fall but for Aqua Class on Solstice I saw a booklet that is in the room and the pillow menu is in that booklet, see link below. For shoe shine there should be a shoe shine bag hanging in the closet and you put the shoes in it and leave it on the bed for the steward - this is what X told me on the phone... http://schplinky.smugmug.com/gallery/7327631_umSYL#471469984_wpstw

I think that =X= is having lots of false advertising that its Customer Service department often fails to acknowledge. I too found the CC pillow menu in the materials that were on the desk on one cruise and on another I just asked the cabin steward and he brought what we needed with no questions asked. Being in the service industry myself, I think it is all in the way you ask sometimes. It also reminds me the time we were on an X shore excursion. On the tickets the delivered the night before it stated to bring your own towel. The next day we had to wait for a lady to go and get hers and she cam back complaining that no one told her to bring a towel when she booked the excursion. Almost in unision, we all shouted "Did you read your ticket?" There is some personal responsibility. I always ask if I don't see something that I was expecting and, for me, X has always come through in one form or another.

ChrisAndMeg Posted February 25, 2010 #19 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Kathy, don't know what we'd all do without you... ;) 1) Is the expanded room service breakfast menu only the part that says Concierge Class? Meaning, the signature dishes, smoothies and juices? Or is any other part of it specially for CC? 2) Any items we definitely shouldn't miss? 3) Asking for Chris - and probably any other man out there - how much bacon can you order? And yes, he really wants to know. The man can really eat his bacon. :)

And yes, he really wants to know. The man can really eat his bacon. :) I think you can get most of the items, except for the part that says Concierge Class in the regular cabins. One important thing is that the juices are fresh squeezed, which you will not get in the buffet area or main dining room without an extra charge. Same thing for smoothies. I wrote waffles in on the menu and got them. I don't know we liked everything we ordered. One tip is to make sure you write in on the order form exactly what you want, so if you want 6 pieces of bacon, put that down. I checked off everything we wanted, then summarized it at the bottom, i.e. one breakfast: 2 eggs over easy, 3 bacon, wheat toast, orange juice, etc. That way they will know exactly what to put on each plate and you won't get several plates of food, or not enough of what you wanted. I promise you will love this. Most of the time our room steward delivered our breakfast. He wasn't the best, so he didn't set up our table on the balcony, but I have read that some stewards do that for you and that is a nice touch. When we got the phone call that they were on the way, we opened up the balcony door and moved things off of our table in our cabin so we could transfer what we wanted outside to the table on the balcony since there is not enough room for everything.
