Can anyone provide feedback on their experience with booking tours through Mighty Great Trips? It appears that they are brokers for the actual excursion operators -- true?

I believe you are correct. I suppose my question is why wouldn't you just book directly. I don't keep track of particular brokers and can't speak to the reliability of any particular broker, but I have read plenty of negative (sometimes horrifying) stories on this board about using a broker. If you see a tour you like, ask and folks here can probably connect you directly.

They are a booking agent and do NOT run most of the tours, so no I would never use them. They do run the MGT blue buses that shuttle to Mendenhall and offer a TOUR bus option also- that is an excellent value for a first time visitor, running about 1/2 what the ship tour buses cost.
