Rare gdlamberth Posted February 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Question came up on Regent's Board regarding Single Malt Scotch (non-surcharge) available. Since I'm on SS Cloud in July for our first SS cruise, can anyone share their rememberances of single malts served, please? thanks, Greg
unfathomable Posted February 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2010 If I remember correctly, you can expect Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, the Macallan and (I think) Glenmorangie to be available on the complimentary list.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted February 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2010 On a recent (within 3 months) SS cruise, singles available were Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Glenmorangie, and Aberlour. Macallan was not available. Dimple has also disappeared. There seemed to be more stocking of upscale vodkas.
bobndee Posted February 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2010 While on this topic, what bourbons are served? I'd expect basic stuff like Jim Beam and Jack Daniels (which isn't a bourbon). Anything upscale from that?
Wellseasoned Posted February 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2010 On our recent Spirit cruises, the complimentary single malts were again Glenlivit, Glenfiddich, and Glenmorangie, as before. On my precruise guest information form I had asked for Macallan if possible, and my in-suite bar was stocked with Macallan 12, in both our Silver and Veranda suites. Macallan 12 is not complimentary at the ship bars. It is listed at $10 per drink on their premium drink menus. So, you may well receive it if you request it ahead for your in-suite bar.
