I don't believe these are the correct perks for a Balcony cabin......at least not recently.

Is NCL charging for after midnight room service???

not yet. I've only heard of RCI charging after midnight.

Some of those perks you mentioned comes with Latitudes status........

The 2010 cutbacks have effected what we thought we'd be getting with Freestyle 2.0, balconies, suites and Latitudes.

I know I won't remember all the cutbacks, but to name a few: no free bubbly when boarding, no chocolates on pillow at night (nor cookies), no fruit basket in balconies and mini suites, coffee pots removed in cabins lower than balcony, cappuccino machines were removed from buffet, and they now charge in main dining room for same, suites do not get their "daily treats."

So what you may have read about perks in the past may not hold true today. Just see what you get when you come aboard, or keep reading here to find out.

So far it appears balconies and minisuites can still book specialty restaurants 48 hours ahead, and still have coffee pots and bathrobes, but no separate dining room for breakfast.

Just off the Gem and had a BA balcony and we couldn't book the specialty restaurants until 24 hours before.

Don't know about the other ships but on the Gem, if you have more than 2 people in your room and you need the 3rd and 4th bed opened you can't get to your balcony. I love sitting on our balcony at night and it just wasn't worth the hassle of climbing over the bed to get out on the balcony.

The title of this thread is confusing.

They have inside cabins

they have oceanview cabins (no balcony)

they have balcony cabins

then they have suites

but an oceanview with balcony?

If you go to NCL's website and mock book a balcony cabin and click on the cabin number, the description that comes up says Oceanview with the cabin number following.

If you look at the new categories, there are indeed Oceanview cabins with Balcony. They just renamed the balcony, but lets face it, if you have a balcony, you do have an oceanview.
