Deck 7 vs deck 8 noise?

Exp AZ cruiser, have been in smaller cabins (175sqft Deck 7) thinking of booking the 266 sq ft cabins Deck 8(Singapore HK). Is there increased noise on Deck 8 because below public rooms etc Deck 9?

Worth the difference larger stateroom?

We were on deck 8 on the Journey last year in 8030. Not noisy at night and most days were not spent in room. Two years ago we were on the Pacific Princess (same exact ship), Deck 8, larger aft stateroom under the pool grill. Noisy in the morning with rolling carts or maybe someone was bowling at 6:00 AM.:D

We had a cabin aft, just under Windows Buffet. It was quite noisy, and I would not book a cabin under that area again.
