You're worried about weather??

Let me put it this way: We on this now-dry and parched island, beg and plead with you

to bring some English rain with you, when you come.

We have been in a drought situation now, since October: not good.

The island's water supply is drying up, and we desperately need rain,

2 inches of it right now, and another 2 inches tomorrow.

That might just close up the big cracks in our lawns.

I hope this portrays the complete lack of rain we've been suffering for the last few months.

Cloudy?

Be glad it's cloudy, so your fair skin doesn't get burnt to a red crisp in the first hour.

This is not English sun: this stuff is fierce!

You have little to worry about.

Don't forget to bring rain: the island needs it.

We're depending on you!

Clouds mean little here -it'll still be warm,

and you'll get a tan right thru those clouds, unless they're heavy

(v.unlikely this time of year).

It has been really dry and far too sunny..(all the plants are badly wilting and dropping leaves)

but indications are that it's cracking, into less-dry weather, no big rains, not until Aug Sept. Oct.

We're coming into what is the usual Dry Season, (Feb. to June)

only this year it started in October - -not cool!

I checked the long range forecast at URL

http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/silver_sands

and I see what you mean!

hey, that's the cloudiest indication for quite some time

but you'll also notice that the precipitation outlook is still lots of 0's zeros! :)

Much of the time, early-morning cloudy periods are all burnt-off by the sun, by around 10:30 a.m. anyway.

Don't worry about it.

You'll very likely get a nice all-round tan, rather than a red burn.

You'll see.

Aplmac you got rain...

2" of it...

share you rotter - stop hogging it with your fancy cloud catchers you :p

send some our way to Grenada

People buying water tanks all over the island - now that's a good business to be in at present.

we're on fire quite literally with acres going up

Just re-read you post

you want the rain not you had it.

ok I'll let you off.

I'm heading outside to do some weird funky rain dance maybe that will work

:)

We're on fire all over, too!

This has been a dreadful drought:

my young banana trees are not doing very well, despite daily doses of hose.

If this dry weather doesn't break soon

all these little Caribbean islands are going to be in big water-trouble!
