Are Spirit cabins really that small?

This is slightly off topic...but I am booked right under that HUGE casino...any one been in those cabins before? How loud can I expect it to be? Or should I say how drunk am I gonna need to be to sleep at night? I have posed this question on another thread but never got an answer.

We were on deck 6 on our trip, not under the casino, but under the Blue Lagoon/Sports Bar (6055) and never heard a sound during the entire cruise. It is my belief that there is good sound insulation above the deck 6 cabins.

No room under the bed is BOLDERDASH Here is a line from our Spirit review ( link in my signature )

We found that all our luggage fit under our bed, EVEN my golf clubs. That’s 2 garment bags, 1 30” suit case and 1 40” suit case, 1 golf bag full of clubs. We had plenty of room in the closet to hang everything that need it and the shelves in the closet held the rest with no problem.

But the OP has 4 people's luggage to deal with. Maybe the cabin steward can find a place for those that don't fit under the beds. Remember that one bed in a cabin that sleeps 4 will be a trundle, so there's no room under IT for luggage, just under the one. Good luck you guys!

We have done the Spirit twice and do not remember the casino as being the huge. Have not heard others complain about the noise below and to be honest, it is not that noisy in there compared to some areas with furniture moving, etc. The mini disco dance area just past the casino may have some thump thump music though.

You should be fine since you know beforehand you're not going to have a ton of space. If you have a smaller suitcase you could put that into a larger one under the bed.

I hope you all have a great time.

We will be cruising on the Spirit in a couple of weeks and have booked an inside cabin on Deck 10 for two adults and two teenagers. Will we be cramped in this cabin. We have always cruised on Carnival ships and this will be our first time on a norwegian ship.

Here are a few pics of a balcony cabin on the Spirit Deck 10, I think the inside are a little bit smaller.

We had 4 in our cabin #10611 which I believe is 175 sq ft. As others have said, I peeked into other open cabins during debarkation and didn't get any overwhelming feeling our cabin was much larger. I used a luggage set and put one inside the other when empty and pushed the whole thing under ONE side of the queen bed, i.e. all our luggage fit under a twin bed. There was LOTS more space under the bed. I also put 2 roller bags standing up on the closet floor and unzipped across the top and used these as "hampers" for our dirty clothes.

We spent a week on the Spirit in a balcony cabin and it felt a bit tight for two. The real problem you will have is where to put your clothes. We had three very small drawers, and five inconventiently placed shelves in the closet. Be careful with the shelves since they do not go to the wall and stuff fell off behind them. We had to hang up as much as possible.

I hope no one is claustrophobic!

Our cabin had solid shelves its length so nothing falling through (guess it will depend on your cabin). and also had a four drawer unit under the TV and a small drawer in the desk. We rolled the beach towels and place two on each side of the TV. There is also a DEEP shelf just below the TV that we used to store soda (16), snacks, Camera, etc. We hung most of our clothes and even brought extra hangers (they are the bent kind so make sure yours all face the same way for maximum space). The shelves went like this: The tippy top shelf where the life jackets are (we stacked and pushed them as far to the side as possible but quite frankly could have gone under our other twin side of the bed) was Dad's shelf for shorts/tees/hats, next shelf was mom's shorts/tees, next was dd's, next was used for dirty clothes, next was used for pajamas. The floor and bottom cubby were used for the shoes (massive when you're talking x's 4 for sandals, tennies, & dress up (but could go under the bed with these too). The two shelf bedside table with phone was at the head of the trundle bed like a headboard and was used for all DS's clothes, and were right there when he woke up. We called the trundle area the "bat cave"

In the bathroom there were four small shelves for toiletries, one shelf for kids brush, meds, and a glass holding their brushes and paste upright. One shelf for Dad and two shelves for Mom (what? that sounds about right) I also hung my wrapped curling iron in the metal cup holder on the wall so it took up no counter space. The shower had it's own shelf for all soaps, shampoos (some are provided but we like our own), and razor so those don't have to be juggled around.

I think with a little organization skills upon moving in you'll do just fine. Just don't be afraid to be inventive and think outside the box. I rearranged some of the furniture until it was a more usable space for us.

Just remember, that the walls are very thin. We could every word the people in the next cabin were saying. So, if the kids are next door, be aware of that.

For other readers picking a cabin, #10611 has NO neighbors on its walls, none to the side, behind it, over it, or under it. I went to verify no neighbors, yea!! It does have three neighbor doors directly across the hall that you can hear doors shutting and people talking in the halls.

You could also bring an over the door shoe organizer to keep lots of stuff "organized" and off the little bit of desk/counter space you have.

If you find your luggage to big to slide under the bed just lift up the bed a bit and it will fit fine.

Hey AuTiger7...Looks like we are on the same cruise. I will have my teen German Exchange Student with me for his Spring Break from school. My first cruise on NCL, but have been on 8 previously. It's a great way to vacation with teens....especially on Spring Break. There are enough activities to keep them busy, and they can't go too far. Perhaps our kids will hook up during the cruise.

is that other cabin that I think 4 could fit in too. Putting as much that could fit under the beds as twins would probably be the best. I have staed in this cabin on two long repo cruises and it was great...you'll love Spirit's outside spaces, the best! Barb:D

The typical inside cabin on the Spirit is about 149 sq feet, there are some that are quite a bit larger...

If you have a "regular" inside I would call and see if any of these "larger" insides are available. They are different categories so you will have to check the price difference too.
