Stephy0519 Posted March 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2010 Hi--- My DH and I are going on our first cruise out of NYC on the CB in July. Right now we have an interior cabin, tier J booked on the caribe deck (I believe it's C507). Prices dropped and we can get an obstructed oceanview for the same price (actually a little cheaper). These are the available cabins (all on the Emerald Deck) that we are looking at: E602,E227,E225,E608,E607,E222. My main concern for wanting to switch is that I am nervous I will be claustrophobic in the interior with no natural light. We are used to staying in very large hotel rooms with lots of light and our house is the same--I get nervous in elevators on occasion. Suggestions! Thank you so much! firefly333 Posted March 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2010 We did the obstructed OV on Lido deck, but since its not available, I would have been happy with any OV. Try finding one that is more in between life boats as you can.
canast@frontiernet.net Posted March 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2010 We just came off the Carribbean Princess and stayed in Emerald 617, located between 2 lifeboats. We kind of had a view. BUT this seemed to be the location of the boats that they used for training. Noisy during the day. Plus crew working outside your window sometimes.
