past cruiser

I am a past cruiser on Carnival. The friend that I am going with is not. Will I be going to the 'past cruiser' reception alone, or can he go as my guest? Not sure how it works..just asking. Thanks. :)

My son (32 years old) joined me at the "past guest reception." I've been on several Carnival cruises and he'd never cruised on Carnival before. I asked before the reception and was told it was okay to bring someone who was sharing your cabin. That was on the Pride . . . January 2007.

They don't police this at all though I think they should.

The invitation does not say "your name" and "guest". The past guest party is for past guests no matter how many people want to try to justify bringing a 1st time cruiser.

I realize the free drinks are small and the snacks are minimal but the past guest party should be invitation only for past guests.
