Frassy Posted March 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2010 I am a past cruiser on Carnival. The friend that I am going with is not. Will I be going to the 'past cruiser' reception alone, or can he go as my guest? Not sure how it works..just asking. Thanks. :)

BroncosFan2010 Posted March 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Pretty sure you can bring your friend, but you may want to ask on the Carnival boards to find people who have more information.
taxgal Posted March 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2010 generally if you go in as a couple, they will never ask to see two invites, but check with Carnival or the Carnival boards for an official answer
ladycaveat Posted March 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2010 My son (32 years old) joined me at the "past guest reception." I've been on several Carnival cruises and he'd never cruised on Carnival before. I asked before the reception and was told it was okay to bring someone who was sharing your cabin. That was on the Pride . . . January 2007.
RNcruisin Posted March 4, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2010 That is good to know...as I'll be cruising for the third time and it will be my best friend's first cruise.

paul929207 Posted March 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 8, 2010 On Princess the past passenger party is on a formal night. I don't know about Carnival.
okgirl Posted March 8, 2010 #9 Share Posted March 8, 2010 They don't police this at all though I think they should. The invitation does not say "your name" and "guest". The past guest party is for past guests no matter how many people want to try to justify bringing a 1st time cruiser. I realize the free drinks are small and the snacks are minimal but the past guest party should be invitation only for past guests.
